[ Sugar and cream probably does make the brown concoction more palatable. Already, he can see it change colour, going from a harsh dark brown to a milkier lighter brown. A colour that looks far more appealing. It's hard to believe people actually enjoy drinking coffee in its base form, horrible brown liquid that it was.
He's still a little bit hesitant given how bitter it was before, but he does give it a try, if only because Vash bought it for him and he looked so earnest. Taking a sip, Zahid is mildly delighted to find that it isn't as bitter as before. The drink was sweeter now, with only a tinge of bitterness that gave it a kick. ]
Oh. It's not bad. It's warming me up, actually. Thanks ... [ what is this man's name ]
I'm Zahid.
[ He also can't shake the feeling that he's forgetting something. ]
[ He's glad, actually, that the drink is at least palatable now that it's got the extras in. He leans back in his seat for a moment, gaze moving from Zahid to the shop they're in for a moment.
It's in this moment of silence that chirper starts to make a fuss again. ]
Oh right, you were coming to get your dare over with, weren't you?
Ahh!! That's what I forgot! [ Thank you Vash and Chirpy for reminding him. It's sort of funny that Vash would remind him when he seemed unsure about being the recipient of such a dare before. Either way, it's too easy for Zahid to reach forward and take Vash's hand. Only, he's noticing now (and he probably should have noticed before) that this hand was not exactly made of flesh. There's a pause as he stares at it. ]
[ Well, he'd been kind of hesitant about it at first, but really how bad could it be? Especially compared to the dare he has to finish for Zahid later. He blinks when his prosthetic hand is taken, his fingers flexing. ]
Yeah, ah... that one's a prosthetic. The other one is real though!
[ He lifts up his other hand, the look of it clearly flesh and bone. ]
